Site mockups outline the visual elements, including colours, general layout, and placement of elements such as menus and modules.

Mockups are excellent as they require that that you and the development team are in-synch with what is expected visually. The process of putting the design on paper generally requires you (the client) to understand what you want, and set expectations for the developers.

To save time and money, ASC Creative generally requires mockups before we move the development stage.

Prototyping (also called "wireframing") is one of the last steps before starting development of a website. Prototypes are the next step, where a fast, small version of the site is built, usually to test an idea, user interface, implemented limited functionality, or to get approval to build a larger project. Prototypes are optional, but are recommended for larger projects.
